CAN YOU WRITE ON ANYTHING BESIDES PAPER?

Absolutely!  We've written on everything from slate stones, geodes, and wood to glass, leaves, and even food!  Since additional time is needed to determine and practice the best method of ink/paint application for that specific material, we may charge a small fee.  And remember to bring extras as well!  We're only human and these odd jobs may take a bit more trial and error.

HOW SHOULD I SEND OVER MY ADDRESS LIST?

Please format your addresses exactly as you'd like them to appear on your envelopes, which means triple-checking for accuracy as well.  Thistle & Pearl is not responsible for catching all spelling, content, or formatting errors. 

 

Word/Pages/Google Docs files are ideal, but Excel spreadsheets are acceptable as well.

DO YOU PROVIDE PAPER FOR YOUR CALLIGRAPHY PROJECTS?

We can!  We're normally provided with the base materials for our calligraphy and lettering projects, but can absolutely source them for you as well.  Just let us know that you'd like us to include these items in your initial message to us, so we can make sure to quote your project and timeline accordingly.

DO YOU OFFER RUSH ORDERS?

​

Yes!  Depending on our availability and the nature of the project, we may be able to offer expedited services for an additional 25% fee.  Rush orders are generally those needed in or under 2 weeks.

 

  (Trust us, you're not the only one who forgot to factor addressing into the invitation mail-out deadline or decided to add place cards at the last minute.)

CAN YOU MATCH MY INVITATION FONT?

Probably!  While we're obviously more practiced in the above styles, we can often coordinate most font scripts for an additional fee.  If our natural handwriting styles don't 100% jive with your event aesthetic or you REALLY want it to "go" with the font on your invitation or other event materials, just let us know.  We do ask that you try to find out the name of the font you'd like us to mimic, so we can try to get a sense of the nuances/transitions involved. 

 

That said, we will NOT replicate others' work.  This is often more relevant for our hand lettering and signage projects, but we want to be clear that our own twist will be added.  Someone else worked hard on that sign or graphic that inspired you, after all!
