Green Commitment

Check out some of the ways our preferred papers and suppliers are doing their part:

Our default papers are tree free, either made from 100% cotton (often linter byproducts of the cotton industry) or sugarcane stalks & leftover linen and hemp textiles!

Our recycled papers contain post-consumer fiber, are processed chlorine free and manufactured with 100% renewable energy!

One of our preferred paper mills runs off of 100% hydropower - and has since 1922! They even provide surplus energy to their local community!

Even most of our "new" options are still FSC certified, made with 100% renewable energy, contain at least 30% post consumer fiber & are chlorine free.

Can't resist a little glam?  Our pearlescent and translucent papers are FSC certified, acid & chlorine free, recyclable, and even biodegradable.

We support local.  Although we design for everyone, all of our printers & calligraphy suppliers are based here in the

Lone Star State!

Let's get real.

Protecting and maintaining the environment is important, so we try to be mindful of the materials we use throughout the process of designing and executing our goods.  Many of our event-specific products have a shelf-life (i.e., they don't normally last long after said event), but "away" isn't a place.  When you throw something "away", it has to go somewhere - and we don't feel comfortable with our goodies lasting longer in a landfill than they did in your hands.

"

You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.  What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make."

-Jane Goodall

Well we've made that decision, Jane.  That's why we offer and encourage our lovely clients to consider more eco-conscious alternatives to some of the less "green" event branding traditions, such as:

  • Glass instead of acrylic

  • Hand lettering instead of vinyl decals

  • Cotton, hemp, bamboo, leather, etc. instead of synthetic fibers

  • Wood, metal & stone instead of plastics

  • Cork instead of foam

  • Vintage/upcycled materials instead of brand new

  • Tree-free, recycled or sustainably sourced papers

Speaking of paper, all of our customizable invitation suite and card templates come with tree-free cotton paper standard.

Likewise, our studio is powered by Texas's own wind energy, we compost the majority of our waste (what's more eco-friendly than making dirt?) and reuse/recycle almost all of the rest.  We haven't filled a trash can in years!  Even our toilet paper is made from 100% forest friendly bamboo, saving our portion of the 27,000 trees cut down EACH DAY just for global toilet paper production.

We're not perfect, but we're learning how to improve each day.

Let us know if you have any suggestions too - we're all ears!

Have extra/leftover paper goods that you don't know what to do with after your event?  We'll take them back and either dispose of them properly or reuse them as samples for future clients!
